Old Tampa Bay offers amazing fishing throughout the year. From spring to fall it is the best period for snook fishing. It is better to go fishing for redfish from the shore in a warm season. In winter you should sail a little from the shore.
Fish are likely sitting in shallow grass flats or mangrove-fringed shores. Crustaceans and small baitfish will help you to catch redfish and speckled trout.
Small live baits are effective here. Plugs, jigs and soft plastic baits also work well. Choose hooks that match the size of the bait you are using.
There are a lot of piers, beaches and bridges on the territory. Fishing from the shore will be productive.
