Try to fish from and around the bridge on the south side of Lake Illawarra. There is also a ramp near the bridge.
Slow drift is not a good idea for Lake Illawarra because of the quick tides. The best fishing time is between the run out and run in tide which lasts only 30 minutes.
Concentrate on the snags in the shallows, it is where good-sized bream hide.
