Calaveras Lake is known for amazing bass fishing. Largemouths are well caught in the weeds on chartreuse soft plastics, spinners, and crankbaits. Use silver spoons, jigs and Rat–L Traps near the dam to catch striped bass.
Choose livers, shrimps, cheese and nightcrawlers as a live bait.
The most productive time for red drum is from March through August. Silver spoons and rattletraps make a good bite.
