The snook of different sizes is a common thing for this place. It is worth giving preference to spinning gear. The combination of spinning rod and light 20-lb braided line help you to catch fish. Since a snook has sharp gills, use a strong leader.
We advise you to fish from the shores. There are bridges, beaches and piers at your disposal.
Pay attention to the oyster bars and mangroves. Try to fish from the shores along the backside of Honeymoon Island and between the island and Grass Key.
Redfish and snook are mostly hiding in shadows. The best spot is the southwest section of the bay.
Daylight fishing is not the best idea. Night or early morning fishing is more preferable. Spotted seatrout is active in the upper layers of the water.
Choose hooks that match the size of the baits you are using. Plugs, soft plastic baits, jigs are great lures.
